Choosing your property
You can search for a holiday property in a number of ways. You can select country, region and refine it by the number of bedrooms, near golf, beach or ski resort, pool, disabled, long term and late availability. If you have searched for properties before then you may have made a note of the reference number which you can enter in to the search box for easy reference.
Contacting the owner
The booking is made with the owner direct or representative of the holiday property. The contact method will be on the holiday property details. It could be by phone, e mail or fax. There is an availability calendar on each holiday property where you can check if it is available for the dates you would like. There is also a short form you can complete to request the dates you would like to book which is sent to the owner direct. Direct Property Rentals have no involvement in the booking.
Payment and keys
All arrangements are carried out direct with the property owner or any person nominated on their behalf to carry out these arrangements. Each owner will have their own arrangements for the method of payment and delivery/collection of keys. They may live nearby the rental property or may have a representative to carry out these arrangements on their behalf.
Remember- it is unlikely that any keys will be made available until full payment has been received by the owner.
Insurance
It is important to cover yourself and your travel companians against any reason to cancel your holiday. This could occur before you have paid fully for your holiday but you may still be liable to make the full payment for the property depending on the cancellation conditions imposed by the property owner and for any other travel arrangements. Location and entry to property
Full details will be provided for you to arrive at the holiday property by the owner or representative.Make sure in good time that they have been sent to you.Note that there will be an earliest time for the property to be available to you and unless individual arrangements have been made with the owner/representative please adhere to this time as it is unlikely entry will be possible before then. If property keys have to be picked up on site any variation due to travel arrangements meaning that you will arrive outside these times then remember to arrange suitable alternatives with the property owner/representative. This will prevent you arriving at the property and nobody is on site for you to gain entry. Make sure that you have been provided with details of who to contact if you should experience problems with the property.
